Returns & Exchanges

If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase and want to return/exchange it, here's some information to start off. When you're ready, please contact shop@carmenliusmith.com to start the return process.


Can I return something?
Yes. All returns, US & International, must be done within 10 days of receiving the pants. Returns must be new, unworn, unwashed & returned together with the authenticity card. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer. The full amount of the item will be refunded when we have received the returned merchandise and is deemed in original condition. It is best to use tracking on your return shipping, as The Travel Apparel will not be responsible for any returns lost in transit. 


Condition of returning silk merchandise:

Please make sure that Silk purchases do not have any thread snags or tears. Returns in defective condition will not be refunded as they cannot be resold. 


How will I get back my refund money?
A 100% of your purchase amount will be returned to the credit card that you used within 5-10 days of the refund....or you can also choose to get a 110% store credit!


A 110% store credit?
Yes, it's a 100% on your purchase amount plus an extra 10% off your next order if you decide not to get a refund. This 110% credit will come in the form of a Coupon Code, it is a one-time use only code, just for you and cannot be transferred to another person. It will never expire. It also cannot be applied to a re-order of that exact pants that you have returned.


What about exchanges?
Exchanges for customers within the US must be done within 10 days of receiving the pants. Merchandise must be new, unworn, unwashed & returned together with the authenticity card. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, tracking is advisable as The Travel Apparel will not be responsible for any exchanges lost in transit. It is very important that Silk purchases must not have any thread snags or tears. Returns in defective condition will not be refunded.


What about international exchanges?
International exchanges must be done within 10 days of receiving the pants. Merchandise must be new, unworn, unwashed & returned together with the authenticity card. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, tracking is advisable as The Travel Apparel will not be responsible for any exchanges lost in transit. It is very important that Silk purchases must not have any thread snags or tears. Returns in defective condition will not be refunded.


What if my exchange cost less than my original item?
You will be refunded the difference in amount. Please allow a few days for the refund amount to be reflect on the card you used.

What if my exchange cost MORE than my original item?
After returning the item that you want to exchange, we would refund you the full amount of that item. Then, you can go ahead and purchase what you really wanted to get. And as always there is no shipping fee for your order.

Do I have to pay shipping to get my exchanged item?
No. Shipping is included with every order that is sent out.  

 

Is there a restocking fee?
No.

How soon will I get my exchange?
If you have contacted 
shop@carmenliusmith.com and started the exchange process, as soon as the return merchandise is received and deemed in proper return condition, your exchange will be shipped out with it's tracking number.
